Looking for a place to wine and dine with your friends then party late into the night? If your answer is a resounding "Yes!" then you should check out &Company Resto Bar (Twitter: @AndCoRestoBar, Facebook: &Company Resto Bar). Located across from Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, &Company Resto Bar is a bar, a restaurant, and a club all in one.
The supper club was opened in December 2011 and has now become a popular local hotspot.
As &Company Resto puts it: "Go for dinner and stay for the party!" The full experience at this Mississauga hangout begins with dinner with friends and transitions into bustling nightlife at 10pm.
A few shots I took of &Company Resto Bar before dinner. The venue can host up to 300 guests for dinner and 800 guests for cocktails comfortably and seamlessly (great for corporate events and private parties).
These tables and chairs clear out once it hits 10pm.
Bottle service booths at &Company Resto Bar comes with VIP treatment and perks such as priority line by-pass, personal server and complimentary mixers.
Take a look at the bar. Very psychedelic!
I was invited by &Company Resto Bar to sample Executive Chef Ron Stratton's menu. With over 20 years experience working in kitchens and fine dining restaurants across Canada, chef Stratton now helms the kitchen at &Company Resto Bar. Stratton has revamped the supper club's previous menu (which was mainly small plates / tapas) to one that focuses on "fine familiar" cuisine.
DUCK CONFIT POUTINE ($18)
Hand-cut Russet chips topped with Brome Lake duck leg confit, marinated curds, tarragon gravy and onion crisps
SMOKED PORK NACHOS ($13)
In-house smoked Ontario pork with oven-roasted tomato salsa, crisp lettuce and cilantro crema
USDA ($36)
In-house dry aged 10 oz. steak with Ontario goat cheese scalloped potatoes, ratatouille vegetables and veal jus
HICKORY SMOKED BURGER ($27)
8 oz. AAA beef patty stuffed with hickory smoked mozzarella, topped with crisp bacon, sunny side egg, rustic tomato ketchup, and lemon aioli, "Fred's" brioche bun with a side of root chips and signature dip
BROWNIE BANANA SPLIT ($12)
Dark chocolate brownie with banana spring roll, seasonal berry compote, ice cream and sorbet
With an elevated take on familiar classic dishes, Stratton does contemporary classics at &Company Resto Bar. Poutine is amped by using duck confit and an aromatic tarragon gravy with thick hand-cut russet potatoes. The end result is a very satisfying and meaty poutine. Stratton's version of nachos is tidy and neat; each chip is crispy (not soggy) and holds its precious contents securely in place. What I like the most is that instead of drenching the chips in an artificial cheese sauce Stratton uses a light tomato salsa and cilantro crema to complement his smoked pork. Super fresh. The USDA steak is aged in-house and comes with creamy goat cheese scalloped potatoes, and the hickory smoked burger stuffed with gooey-mozzarella is the highlight of the evening. Topped with crispy bacon and a sunny side up egg, it's one tasty (and messy!) burger. Similar to the appetizers there is also a twist in the dessert. Instead of an ordinary banana split, bananas are stuffed in spring rolls and served with a decadent chocolate brownie, a small scoop of ice cream and sorbet on a pool of tart berry compote. I think it's quite smart to have the bananas in a spring roll form since it introduces a nice crisp to an otherwise texture-less banana split.
